Lora shook her head, rolling her eyes as King made sure that she was watching as he flirted with Shay. She just hoped that King would realise that Shay’s feelings are genuine and not something to take lightly. King didn’t need any angry mermaid any time soon. Being born in the ocean and a creature of its seas, she could very easily ruin his life if she so desired. She couldn’t meddle in their love life, as it wasn’t her place. However, she saw Seamus as a brother to her and if King ever took his feeling lightly and hurt him too badly, she would take revenge. Why do you think Mermaids are known for a quick temper?
As Shay ran towards the water, Lora scrambled off the watery sand and into the ocean. She swam out a bit, trying to hide from him but it was to no avail. Shay came swimming over to her and she was amazed at his abilities in the water. He may not have a tail, but she didn’t think that he could beat her in a race. It was her set of three fins that made her the fastest of the merfolk. She had won many races all around the ocean and seafloors.
“Well look what I found, a siren.” She grinned, swimming circles around him, her tail sticking out of the water and slightly in the air. She could see the traces of his species in him now that he was in the water. She wondered if he received webbed hands and feet while in the water. She had webbed hands when in water. “Sorry, I forgot about sunscreen. Come here, I’ve got your gift.” She shifted in the water, her tail outstretched so he would be able to see the entire thing. It really was something to see sometimes. Since Shay had never seen a mermaid let alone another of the ocean, she knew that he would be curious.
“Pick one, any one. Its good luck and you get a wish. You deserve it Seamus, so don’t worry.” She knew what he was like. He was the type who wouldn’t want to cause any trouble to anyone nor be a burden. It was how he was, but he would have to be selfish sometimes. If he weren’t selfish sometimes, he would never gain King’s full attention. It may be that cute appeal of his and his gentle nature, but if he wanted to keep others away, he’d need to show possessiveness of the man. Lora twirled horizontally for the boy, waiting for him to choose a scale of his liking. It would grant him a better wish that way.

King couldn't help but laugh at the boy as he ran into the sea, though there was a small hint of jealousy in his laugh. He hated water, but part of him wished he didn't for he guessed there would be nothing more relaxing that just floating in it as the other two were doing... it would also help because he hated fire... what a complex system of hatered King had in his life and he sighed, letting his small cat lick his fingers, even though he knew the taste of the suncream would be horrid to her.
He let the sand run between his toes and made a soft noise, much like a relaxing lion he was, he wondered what the two would do if he just turned right here and now. Of course Seamus didn't know he was a lion, and it might scare the poor thing to death, but he fancied a laugh. He pondered these thoughts for a while and began to realise just how hungry he was getting, and this was a dangerous thing indeed, small sparks of panic started to wash over him, he didn't want to start getting wild and predator like again.
He looked to the two in the water and wondered if they would notice if he sneaked off for a little while to get something large and uncooked to eat. He thought about just getting a fish out the sea, but realised that this would be difficult to catch without getting wet and it might upset the two sea creatures.

He blushed and gently plucked a scale hoping it wouldn't look obvious as a missing part on her tail. He smiled softly to her surfacing and shaking the water from his hair. God he missed proper water. The bath tub was just not doing it for him enough. But his master hated water so asking for a pool was out of the question. Sometimes he wished he could have a house like Nico's with the large salt water pools but then Arcarus wouldn't be his master then.
He looked over to Arcarus to see him sunbathing with the little cat and smiled and looked round for lora. Sadly he didn't have the ability for underwater communication for he didn't have gills.

Emerging from under the water, she grinned to him. Good, he chose a scale. She had thought that she would have to convince him and go on about how it was all right with her to be missing one scale. As she would age, she would eventually receive new scales, aside from scales, she gave away, but that wouldn’t bother her. By that time, Shay would no longer be with her due to their differing age spans and it would be a reminder of the sweet boy. It was sad to think that she would live to be about 300 and never look any older than she wanted to. That is, as soon as she wanted to look older, she could never look younger.
“Good, now, so you don’t lose it,” She smiled to him, gently taking the scale from his hands and sticking it beside her right/his left eye. It would stay there no matter how long he was in the water and no matter what he did. Of course, it would lose its sticky adhesive from her tail eventually, but not until some time tonight. “There, you look beautiful Shay. And don’t worry, it won’t fall off until tonight, you can’t lose it there” she smiled to him. He really would look good with his own tail and scales. She could imagine that he would have a different type of tail, maybe with more sets of fins to accent his beautiful voice.
“I don’t see any gills, so I’m guessing you can’t talk underwater, but that doesn’t mean we can’t race each other. Wanna see who’s faster? Siren two legs or fish tail?” she grinned to him, ruffling his hair and moving slightly away, practically gliding through the water.

This was King's chance, he placed his shirt on his coat and petted the little cat gently after placing her down. He told her to stay, mostly because it would be easier for the other two to tell he would come back, there was no way on this earth King would go without taking Iuri if it was important. He didn't bother replacing his shirt, as well as his socks and shoes and began to walk away happily, giving one last glance to both of the sea creatures, and a small, encouraging smile to the small cat who did look a little distressed as her master walked off.
He made sure to stay as close to the beach as possible, browsing around until he found something that smelled as if it wasn't killed weeks ago. He ate in the town of course, and had many people staring at him as he ate his usual uncooked meat, in the same fashion he had eaten before, blood running down his chin and over his body. He didn't mind the looks he got, he was hungry, and it was better for everyone this way, he didn't like the idea of going on a hungry rampage with so many people around.
After having his fill, King started to make his way back to the beach, bits of dry blood still running down his bare chest where he hadn't managed to clean it off yet. He grinned, seeing the tiny cat almost leap in the air with excitement as her master came back and as he sat down he realised he must look as if he had gone to kill a small dog, still covered with a little too much blood for most normal people's liking.

"Unfair...you would win." He pouted touching the scale on his face. He wondered what it would be like if he had the fins and could swim. But then if he had a tail it be more inconviant. He flicked his eyes to the beach to see King was gone. His eyes widened as he scanned the beach. Hoping the man was just gone for a moment and would return he followed Lora.

Lora nodded her head. He was right; she had won many races ocean and sea wide and was fast after all. He only had legs, which she pitied and envied at the same time. She wondered what it would feel like to have the water touch her individual legs instead of having her tail appear instantly. He could take a shower because of his lacking tail. That was lucky. Not many houses nowadays had bathtubs as well as showers. Some did and some didn’t.
“I guess you’re right,” she noticed how he looked back to the beach and too noticed that King wasn’t in sight. She knew that he would panic just a bit but she didn’t want him to worry. King wouldn’t just leave them there. Looking for a sign that would call the boy, she noticed a cat on the beach. But how did she mention this to him without making it obvious she was trying to calm his nerves? “Shay, I have a question. I don’t know how King’s species works, but that cat isn’t like, his child or anything, is it? I don’t want to ask him because that would be awkward.” she pointed to the cat that was sitting on the sand. She wouldn’t ask King because if she were wrong, it would be extremely awkward for her. If she was wrong, he may even be offended. However, it wouldn’t be her fault for not knowing, it was similar to how he didn’t know much about their species either.

King had sat back down on the beach, picking up the small cat and holding her close. He laughed a little as she licked some of the blood from his fingers as a little sign of affection, he treasured her so much, and this only made their little bond stronger. He would have licked the cat back, but considering he was already getting a lot of looks from passers by because of the blood over him, he decided it would be best not to, most people would find it far too strange. He hadn't really been listening to the two people who still were playing in the sea, the other noises were far too distracting for King's sensitive ears.
He gave a small sigh, smiling at the two in the sea before laying down, one foot in the air as it resting on his other leg. He made a soft noise as Iuri climbed up his leg, using her claws to propel herself up before curling up on his raised leg in the sun. The two looked like a rather happy pair, and it seemed right that they were inseparable. King had never thought about the life span of cats before, but found himself closing his eyes and hoping they lived a lot longer than most other animals.

Shay blinked. Arcarus was human as far as he knew. "No...He's human...The cat is a pet..." He said blinking in a confused manor as he floated staring at the sky. Shame Arcarus refused to come in the water. He would love to play in the water with the both of them.
After a few more moments in the water he stood and smiled. " Shall we head back....it's getting late..." He was still worried of losing the scale thsat clipped back some of his hair. Part of him wanted some ice cream for an odd reason.

Lora didn’t think that Seamus knew what King was. Why he would keep it a secret from him, she wasn’t sure. If Shay didn’t know what King was, would he be afraid when he found out? Lora knew that King was a feline shifter, she didn’t know what kind, but she knew that he was a shapeshifter and that his form was feline. She wouldn’t say anything to him though. She probably shouldn’t have even asked. She hadn’t thought about whether or not Shay knew what Arcarus actually was.
Looking up, she could have stayed in the water all night, day and until the end of time. But she was built to live in the water. Shay was built to live in/on both. He wouldn’t be able to stay in the water like she could, which was sad to think about. “I guess so, you can’t stay in here forever.” She smiled to him and swam gracefully back to the shore.
Pulling herself out of the water by her arms, she waited a few moments as her scales started to sink into her skin and her tail started to separate into legs. She felt her fins slipping into her body and her flipper changing into feet. It didn’t take long and it wasn’t painful, but it was a sight to see. “All better, but I warn you, I’ll always have some part of my body wet, it’s the only way for me to stay alive. But I’ll keep it in my ears, that way I can’t drip on your floors King.” She walked up to the man and sat down in the sand. It was a good thing that she was still in that dress. She couldn’t see where her underwear had gone off to.

King watched as the two walked towards him and he made a note never to watch her transform again, it was a strange thing to see. He had seen many a shifter change, but this was odd, it didn't look painful though, and there wasn't as much snapping of bones and stretching of skin but it still made him feel a little strange. He listened to her talking and part of his stomach twisted hearing 'always wet', he really hoped she wouldn't try and hug him at any point, the idea of a wet thing touching him was bad enough, but now he had to live with this?!
He gave a slight sigh and he smiled, thinking of a good way to keep everyone happy. "I'll get some builders in and we'll get you a pool, that way I wont have to keep bringing you here~" He seemed happy at this idea, though it would mean a lot more water in his house, he wouldn't have to go near it, and it meant he could keep them both in his eye sight at all times. As much as he liked sand he could tell Iuri (the cat) wasn't exactly pleased with it.

"Ah you don't need to...it'll be expensive right?" Shay said as he sat by Arcarus but not close enough to get the man wet from his drippyness. He watched the little cat and smiled to her softly as the sun dried him slowly. Flopping back in the sand he toyed with scale lovenly with a happy smile on his lips.

Lora noticed his response to her always being wet. It wasn’t like how he thought at all. She didn’t want to go into detail about it, but it would only be her ears that were wet. She had the ability to move the water about her body and keeping it in her ears would keep the rest of her dry and the same with his house. The best part was that she would still be able to hear them perfectly fine with the water in her ears. She was used to living under the water after all.
As King said that he would buy them a pool, she was about to protest but Shay beat her to it. He shouldn’t have to build a pool just so that they could swim. The beach couldn’t be that far from his house, could it? And besides, they had to have at least a bath in the house. If all they had was a shower, then she was in trouble. She had tried showering before; it didn’t work out so well.
Lora noticed Shay still touching his scale and smiled. She was glad that she could cheer him up and make him happy. She wondered what he would wish for. Sitting down in the sand beside them, she played with the grains, picking up a scoop in her hands and letting it fall through her fingers. “I’m not always wet, I’ll be dry, just, my ears will be full of water, you don’t need to build a pool if you don’t want to.” Lora wondered if it was even about that.

King couldn't help but smile at the other two, they were making sure that he didn't get in a mood about his money again and he had to admit he was a little flattered. He made sure to keep Iuri from going near them, as she was interested in the fishy smell but King didn't want her harassing them both with her tiny paws. He carefully pulled his shirt over his torso again and got up, stretching in the sunlight with the cat clinging to his shoulders with her claws. He didn't seem to mind her drawing a tiny bit of blood and he grinned down at the two at their protests to the pool. "Look, I'm buying you a pool! I've got nothing else to spend my vast wealth on!"
Of course this statement wasn't completely true, but alcohol and cigarettes aren't really the thing you can spend a huge fortune on. There was a slight pause as King thought about cigarettes and King realised that he had left them at home, where he couldn't have a smoke and he didn't look rather sad about this. With a small sigh he smiled again gesturing to the others that they should follow, it was indeed getting later. "Lets get home and get Lora all settled in~"

He nodded a soft smile. "Thank you..." he slowly pulled on his jeans and clothes deaming himself dryish. Standing slowly and grabbing his bag he followed Arcarus chatting to Lora. " You'll like it at Masters.... It's a really nice house. There'sm enougher Slave...Isabel...She's alright." He informed her while they walked not having far to go.
