Remi had been trying to make something edible for his first meeting all day. He just wasn't doing very well at it. He hadn't told Nate this yet, but he had spent the last few days making posters and sticking them up all over Corpus Christi to advertise his new little group, spurned by his first feelings of loss and confusion, the Angel Support Service.
He had worked so hard on the posters, making sure Nate's address and his own details were on them, and he'd also worked hard on these attempted rice crispy treats, and he hoped that someone....ANYONE...would turn up. Well. Someone who would take him seriously and/or not mistake him for a drug support group.
He bit into one of the failed treats and screwed up his face, chucking that batch in the bin. He was glad he had though earlier and bought some pre-made treats...yeah....only Nate would know they weren't his own. He wondered what Nate would think of this idea, of having his house (hopefully) full of angels, all of whom would need a certain amount of education or "training" in how to cope on earth, most would need teaching what the rumblies in their stomachs meant. He also wondered what Nate would think of his living room, covered in posters and banners with the initials "A.S.S" plastered all over them and rearranged into a better format for the meeting. Remi had gotten the idea for this group while watching some family comedy crap on TV, and tried to make the surroundings look like he has seen as much as was physically possible.
He plated up the store bought treats and kept a few on a separate plate for Nate, hoping he would be happier with the idea of an Angel support meeting on a full stomach.....

Falling was indeed a strange sensation. He had expected it to be cold but he hadn't known it would happen this fast, only seconds ago he was swearing widely at anyone within ear shot and his rage hadn't yet subsided, still swearing and yelling as he fell closer and closer to the ground below. 'Shite!' Azrael thought to himself, wondering if going off on one and being kicked out was the best idea he had in the last few thousand years. Part of him was glad that with each second he become closer and closer to the earth below and yet the other part of him couldn't help but worry about what would become of him. He had heard of a few angels falling before him, but never knew what happened to them, and no one had ever mentioned them after they fell, as if they had just vanished out of existence. Would the same happen to him?
It was a strange thought as he watched the earth become closer to him, and as his eyes focused he saw that he was heading towards cold, hard pavement. 'Shite...' He thought again, knowing it was his own fault. 'Why did I have to swear so much?' After being such a mild mannered and quiet angel, when he finally did have a rage he knew he would be punished, but hard floor? That was just being a little cruel. Azrael closed his eyes, not wanting to see how close he was anymore.
Thud. The sound of hitting the floor was horrid. He felt his legs crack under his weight, and other parts of his body were as well damaged. He moved a little, trying to see if he could, and he felt something strange below him. He had landed on what appeared to be books, only... without a covering. His bruised and battered fingers clung to the paper below him and it took him a few minutes to check what it said. Angel... support? How odd... and yet very useful for this point in time.
Azrael picked himself up, unbeknown to him just had badly damaged he was, his leg tried to buckle under his weight but he kept going, towards the address the paper said. It must have looked odd to any passers by, a naked man walking down the street with bones half sticking out of his skin. But at least he made it to the address, falling against the door with some pain.
"Help..." He whispered, hoping beyond hope that he was 1, at the right place, and 2, that he wasn't too early for an appointment.

At the very least, today's shift had been interesting. He'd finally had someone call him into an operating theater for his specialized subject! Unfortunately, his professional opinion on venom and poison was slightly abused and he was sent to care for some kid who'd thought it would be a great idea to drill into the wall to help his dad with DIY; this would have been fine, if not for the asbestos on the other side of the plaster. Still, it was an improvement on watching over some pensioner with a cold; as much as Nate loved the elderly, they really did take up a lot of his time.
So at least his mood was a little higher than usual when he stepped out of the Memorial Hospital and found a poster tacked to the nearest tree claiming that some kind of butt would be visiting an address. He frowned and reread the poster. Angel Support Service. Hm...Maybe he could tell Remi about it. It was being held at- ah. Remi was hosting it...while he was incredibly proud that Remiel was trying to help others like him, he was worried that the poor thing would be crushed when he realised no-one would turn up. He wasn't pessimistic, he just didn't know if there really were any other fallen angels in Corpus Christi, or in fact, anywhere else in the world. He took the poster down and head home, thinking of ways to cheer him up.
Nate was certain that this would be the peak of weirdness for the day. But was then proven wrong by the small trail of blood leading up to the house. His heart skipped a beat and his blood ran cold. Remi was hurt. He ran to the front door and fumbled with the keys to get inside, only to find a man he'd never seen before...and a leg wound on a scale he hadn't seen for quite some time. He took a deep breath and tried to grasp what was going on. Maybe this guy was an angel too and had come to Remiel's group...but his legs were...he walked over and looked to him.
"Remi! I'm home...Sir, my name is Dr Nathaniel Reynolds...I'm going to have a look at your legs and see if I can fix them for you." he was a little too lost to stop and ask what had happened, today was weird and it wasn't getting any more normal, he might as well just go and get his medical bag from the cupboard, give the guy some painkillers and see what could be done about his legs. "Let me ask, are you here for the Angel Group?"

Remi heard Nate's harmonious voice fill the house and couldn't help but smile. What can I say? The young angel was in a romantic mood, their relationship was still very early into the honeymoon stage, and he couldn't have felt better. But something about Nate's tone worried him, so he flounced out to see what was the trouble.
As he poked his head around the door Remiel fell backward in pure shock. "HOLY SHIT NATE WHAT HAPPENED?! DID YOU HIT HIM WITH YOUR CAR OR SOMETHING?!" Remi yelled all in one breath. His eyes scanned the injured man, well...when he noticed his wings Remi corrected himself. The injured angel. Considering the circumstances, Remi really shouldn't have been smiling. But he was. THERE WERE MORE LIKE HIM DOWN HERE! He couldn't hold back his excitement, though the other was badly injured.
"OH MY GOD did you fall too?! Hi I'm Remi I put up the posters I mean did you see a poster or did Nate just find you and bring you here I mean thats what he did to me but I wasn't nearly as injured as you and I went to hospital first and I thought it was a brothel but no the nurses wore more clothes but I wish Nate would wear less clothes more often because his body is seductive and I like looking at it and touching it and all sorts of things I mean..." Remi continued rambling, appearing not to even pause for breath. He also didn't notice Nate's unimpressed looks. Or anything else for that matter.

Azreal looked up with weak blue eyes. He noticed Nate first and with a strange sort of expression he studied him, he was sure this man wasn't an angel, so why on earth was he at the angel support group? He tried to move his leg but the new experience of pain shocked him so much he just whimpered, unable to really do much more. He was annoyed at himself that he had tried to land on his feet, he knew now just what a silly idea it was. He then saw Remi and although he could see his mouth moving his ears weren't picking up any sound, there was just a ringing in his ears that he hadn't been able to shift.
After a few minutes is silence Azrael tried to speak again, looking up at the two men who were trying to help him. "Az-Azrael..." He croaked, wanting to move to offer a warm smile, or anything that would make him seem a lot less pathetic than he imaged he looked like. He couldn't believe how much being on earth hurt and just how cold it was, he hoped it wouldn't be like this forever. His wings, though dusty and blood splattered from the fall were still working better than the rest of his body, stretching themselves to try and cover such a battered and bruised body, obviously ashamed of what he must look like.
He noticed that the man who he assumed was the angel was still talking and his mind began to wonder what he was saying. He caught the odd word: Injured, brothel, seductive? These words meant nothing to him, and he wondered why he was so excited to see him, Azrael had never really had many friends in the afterlife, and wondered if this was a normal reaction for people down here.

As Remiel burst in, he stood and denied the accusation of hitting the poor man with his car. When his boyfriend then started ranting he stood and went to retrieve his medical kit, judging by the state of this guy, he must have landed fairly recently. People would have carried him to the hospital otherwise. He grabbed his black leather case and came back to the living room to find that the angel had curled himself up in his wings as Remi spoke. He put the bag down and took Remi's hand.
"Darling, sssh. One, I don't appreciate you telling strangers about our personal endeavors and two, he looks rather hurt. Let me fix him, then you can chat away, alright?" he heard the angel offer his name and smiled, kneeling before him and gently pushing his wing away. "Alright Azrael. I'm going to clean up this injury and patch you up a little. I'll need you to take these, alright? They'll take away the pain."
If this guy had only recently fallen then the concept of pain would be as new to him as it was to Remiel when he was found at the hospital. He'd need a hand with all the little things Remi had to grasp, so he supposed this little butt group was probably a good idea after all. He also didn't have to worry about Remi being disappointed if no-one turned up. He took painkillers out of his bag and handed them to Azreal before looking to Remi.
"Remi, could you get Azrael a glass of water and help him take those tablets, please?" he smiled and prepared a syringe of local anesthetic, there was no way he'd get anything done if the angel was in pain. "Oh, and could you grab a bowl of warm clean water with a cloth please, nurse?" he looked back to the new angel, "We're going to help you, Azrael. I helped Remiel here to understand the way Earth works and he'll teach you what he's learned. When did you fall?"

Remi pouted cutely as he was told, in so many works, to shut the hell up. He sighed and watched Nate do his thing, looking closely at the others injuries. They seemed pretty bad. Remi wondered what the pill was that Nate gave Remi as he ran to get Az some water, as fast as he could. He hadn't been given any pills (that he knew of) and wondered what the would do if someone wasn't hurt....
His thoughts were disrupted by Nate calling him nurse. Now, that was an image. Remi mentally stored a note to acquire a nurses outfit at some point; he thought Nate would like that. "Yes, right away, doctor~" He rushed to get the warm water and cloth, sensing the urgency in Nate's voice. He took the required objects back and sat at Nate's side, watching the procedure with a slightly sick sort of interest. He wanted to know exactly how Nate would fix this broken man....

It was odd, Azrael seemed to be paying a lot more attention to the conversations going on around him rather than his injuries, though the pain was immense, it was pleasing he was feeling something other than boredom. His wings letting his body be examined by the two men, he gave a very weak smile, these two obviously liked each other and it was a nice thing to hear as he felt his eyelids get heavy, but he could feel the 'pills' placed near him. Not knowing what to do with them Azrael couldn't help but look up at the two men weakly, looking confused with those pale blue eyes. He wanted to say something, anything, but when asked the question about falling he was stumped, still not sure about how time worked down here.
"I...I came st-straight here..." He admitted, not knowing the time it had taken him to get there, or where he had fallen in correlation to this place, where ever it was. Thinking back, Azrael couldn't even remember HOW he had gotten there, not knowing his way around earth and all. He looked at Nate again, seeing the syringe his eyes widened slightly. 'Shite. What the hell is THAT!' He thought to himself, panicking only a little at such a strange looking object, he wasn't sure he wanted it anywhere near him, but since the men has said they would help him, he didn't have much choice.
His eyes became heavy again and although Azrael wanted to fight it, to watch the two men and whatever they planned to do to his body he couldn't help but close his eyes. He took a deep breath, trying to figure out how on earth this pain would go away, and kept listening to the voices around him, but they started to get blurry. This was a horrid feeling, it felt like falling again, and he didn't want to do that.

Nate could tell that the new angel was slipping into some form of shock. He claimed that he had come straight to the house after falling, that meant he'd had this injury for approximately half an hour at least. Though it was a little surprising that he'd found the address. Maybe angels had some form of psychic link that led him to this house. it was certainly an interesting thought. He realised then that Remi had never taken pills before either and sighed softly, he took the painkillers and pressed one to the angel's mouth.
"I need you to swallow this, it'll remove the pain. The sharp thing i have in my other hand with numb your leg so you don't feel any more pain there either." once he was sure that the angel had taken the pill, he injected the local anesthetic into his leg to dull the pain, "Remi, can you try and keep your guest awake while I work please?"
He cleaned the wound carefully and analysed the situation, wanting to be sure there was nothing he'd missed. He could see the bone in one leg while the bone stuck out of the other; how this man had made it to the house was a miracle. Nate checked to make sure that the visible bone was the only sharp bone that would cause trouble, to make sure there weren't shards waiting to cause trouble once the wound was closed. Then, he worked quickly but carefully, realigning the bones and fixing them in place with a temporary fixture. That was the good thing about being a specialised doctor, they let you keep surgical tools at home, just in case. He stitched the wounds carefully and washed it to prevent infection before wrapping both legs carefully in bandages. He sighed and examined his work before looking to the angel.
"There, all done. You'll need to rest your legs. No walking for a while. Ok?" he stood and went to wash his hands before hugging Remi. "Well, he's a newly fallen angel. He needs you to guide him, Remi."

Remi nodded at Nate's request and took the angels hand softly. He spoke to him as Nate worked, trying to keep him calm. "Hay....its really okay down here, seriously. And Nate here is really awesome, he'll have your leg working in no time!" Remi grinned, squeezing Azreal's hand softly to try and keep him awake. Then he spotted the bone poking through the other angel's flesh.
"OH MY GOD WHAT THE--" Remi held back his surprise, realizing it really wasn't helping, and took a deep breath. "I mean....don't panic. You'll be okay soon, Nate's awesome as i said. Uhh....I'll tell you a story to pass the time!" He paused for a moment, thinking back to the stories Nate told him when he was first looking after the other man, and all the books he had read. Before long an idea hand struck.
"Once upon a time there was a princess called...uhh....Nate! Yeah...and Nate was being held at this big blue tower half filled with water! And lurking in the water was the evil, ugly, fish sorcerer Lola the smelly! Now, Lola the smelly wanted Princess Nate all to herself, but she didn't count on the handsome, manly, super strong angel prince Remiel coming to the Princesses rescue! And man, what a rescue it was, Remiel had to defeat TWO HUNDRED AND FIFTY shark drones that the evil Lola the smelly had set on him, with one hand tied behind his back! He them swept into the dry section of the castle, pulled the beautiful princess into his arms and kissed him. Yeah. There were tongues." Remi took a second to look up at Nate and smirk at this part, watching Nate's face heat up in blush. "Anyway, back to my story. Just when Prince Remiel was finished making out with the lovely Princess, who found him seductive in every way, the evil Lola the smelly popped up out of nowhere, and tried to kill our dashing hero! However, the Prince was too fast for her, and slayed the evil one with one SWOOOOSH of his hefty sword. The princess swooned, and Remiel caught him, looking deeply into his eyes. Again the Prince and the Princess made out, then Remiel took the Princess Nate to a save haven, where he showed him just how hefty a sword he had. THE END!"

As much as Azrael wanted to panic, wanted to reject whatever he was being asked to swallow his body didn't have the will to do it. With a soft noise he tried to swallow the pills, coughing a little as they went down his throat. It truly was a strange feeling, and he couldn't help but groan a little as he felt the foreign object guiding it's way into his leg. It didn't exactly hurt, not compared to what he felt anyway, but it wasn't nice, and as the pain started to numb he started to worry he was slipping away. Felling Remi's hand in his he squeezed it, finding some comfort in the idea of having someone looking after him, making sure he was awake. He opened his pale blue eyes and stared up at the other angel, obviously hoping to keep his mind off whatever Nate was doing to his legs. He was glad he wasn't being asked to speak, but when Remi almost panicked at whatever he was looking down at he couldn't help but feel a little curious. He gave his legs a very quick and worried look.
"Shite..." He whispered, looking from Nate to Remi with worried eyes. How on earth could anyone fix that, but he had no choice but to trust in this 'amazing' doctor... man... human. He started to listen to the story being told to him, wondering what on earth a 'fish' was and why on earth it could be compared to 'evil', he had seen evil and it wasn't great. Remi seemed to be rather good at talking though, which relaxed Azrael rather a lot, feeling his leg slowly become back to normal he closed his eyes once again and gave a quick soft smile nodding at Nate's words. There was no way on this earth he would consider walking for a while, not if he knew what was good for him (which he kinda didn't) but at least he was safe now, and had 'friends'; he only wished he still wasn't naked.
"Thank you..." He whispered to them both, trying to keep his voice as level as possible, making note that he sounded a lot different than he had done in the afterlife, he guessed that was due to the pain though. He wanted to ask so many questions, but as he looked at the other two he decided it was best he wait, they seemed to be having a moment.

It wasn't that Dagiel was slow or mentally impaired. It was just that he tended to take people's words at their simplest value. He would take people far too literally or not understand subtle undertones and inflictions. The reason being, fish spoke simply. He spent a lot of time talking to fish and the concept of sarcasm tended to go straight over their dorsal fins. So when his superior told him that if he went to visit the fallen angels on earth, he would no longer be welcome in the Afterlife, he assumed he'd be allowed back but people wouldn't like him as much. Not once did it occur to him that this meant he would be banished. And so, with a cheery smile and his wings spread wide, he left to visit his good, and only, friend. Remiel.
The flight down was fine, he'd opened his wings early and had plenty of time to soar and twirl as he vented his excitement. He was going to see someone fun and interesting who didn't forget him after five minutes! He dived and swooped until he eventually landed on the streets of Corpus Christi, oblivious to the fact that he was naked and that this was frowned upon. He started to look around, complete unsure of where to find Remiel. He tried shouting for him and asking people if they'd seen him but they tended to run away or turn their gaze. He sighed and sat on the steps of the library when a poster caught his eye. He stood and looked at it. Angel Support Service. He was an angel and he needed support in finding his friend. Besides, Remiel was an angel, maybe he went to this group! He looked more closely and gasped, REMIEL RAN THIS GROUP!
He looked at the address and started to navigate his way around town to find it, eventually coming to a door with a huge bloodstain on the step. He frowned and knocked before peeking in. He didn't want to burst right in if the person inside was just a murderer who knew he was looking for Remiel and used the posters as bait to lure him in so he could kill Dagiel and steal his wings. But he let his imagination get the better of him. He peeked his head in and smiled when he saw the group around the crouch.
"Excuse me, I'm looking for Remiel? He runs this group the poster advert- REMIEL!!" he ran over and threw himself at the angel, "You have no idea how bored I've been up there without you!!"

Nate chuckled as Remi recounted a rather exaggerated tale about a prince and princess, though it was still a little upsetting that Remi hated the goldfish. He didn't have any idea how he could get Remi to realise it was an idiot animal without the capacity to plan things out. He cleaned up and sat beside Azreal on the settee, hoping he felt a lot better now that his legs were more or less normal shape. It wasn't perfect, Nate wasn't an expert in leg surgery but there was little else they could do at the hospital. He looked to the angel and rubbed his shoulder.
"You feeling ok? Do you want some water or food? You might need a little rest so if you want to sleep you can."
He was interrupted by the sound of the door opening and a young blonde man peeking inside. Ah, another angel for Remi to te- what was he doing on Nate's man?!?! Nate stood and looked at the blonde with a slight glare, not liking how close he was getting to his boyfriend. He didn't care if they knew eachother in the afterlife, Remiel was his now.
"Um, excuse me. Let me introduce myself. I'm doctor Nate Reynolds. Remiel's boyfriend." he offered with a bitter, sharp edge to his tone.
He knew it was unfair, the man didn't even know that Remiel had a boyfriend but Nate didn't trust people. Remiel was hot, om re than hot, he was divine. So people tended to like him, a lot. They'd flirt and chat with him, pushing Nate away slowly. It made him a little protective. He just didn't want to lose him boyfriend to some angel who just popped in to say hi...in the nude.
