Akira hated this. He didn’t feel pain, he didn’t age, he was immune to disease, he was immortal (unless decapitated or had his heart removed), he could alter people’s senses for his own enjoyment; but he was afraid of thunderstorms. It wasn’t that he was genuinely afraid of the lightning and the thunder; it was more that the loud thunder injured his ears. His acute hearing being far better than most people was pained by the sound, the rumbling. It confused him, startled him and left him vulnerable, not able to hear after the loud noises nor able to recuperate as the noises continued one after the other during the storm.
He couldn’t leave this place, having been caught and kept in this cage. He had already tried to leave when he shifted to his cat form but the traders had been able to catch him again; he wasn’t fast enough. They had thought that putting wiring around the cage would stop him but it had proven futile as he escaped and was caught again. It was just too easy to be caught in here. There weren’t enough places for him to hide in and he couldn’t jump high enough out of reach. It wasn’t as useful being a domestic house cat rather than a feline shifter who was larger and could jump far higher than he could.
Akira was still in his cage this time, his traders having placed him in a plastic box with breathing holes too small for him to even attempt to break open. They would notice even before he had a decent sized crack around the quarter-sized holes. He didn’t mind being kept inside the cage, being sold was something he hadn’t encountered before and after so long, maybe it would be a change. The thunderstorm tonight, however, wasn’t very pleasing.
He made a disgruntled mewling noise, hissing which caused buyers to move away from his cage. His trader still believed he was a rare shapeshifter, able to retain part of his animal shape while in human form, he had no idea that he was always half cat. “Why can’t you be quiet? It’s just a thunderstorm you stupid animal.” Aki glared at the man. Being a slave would be something new and not so bad. Having to stand this guy for a moment longer was contemplated murder.

Remi wandered into the warehouse, not knowing exactly what it held. He had seen come shady characters go into the large, grotty area but none come out as of yet. He had also seen some cages go in...which contained....what he though...was people. He was intrigued, he wanted to know what they were doing with these people. He hoped it was nothing too bad...they did seem a little skinny.
He walked in, hands in pockets, only to be greeted by this short, fat, smelly man, who asked Remi lots of questions about why he was there. He answered all of them honestly. He had no idea where he was. The man offered him to buy one of the people in the cages, to which Remi got a little excited. It would be like a super special awesome pet! And Nate would love it! The trader left him to browse the selection of people, and Remi walked happily around, looking into each cage with a cheerful smile.
Then he got to this little cage, with this small man in it. And he had cat ears. Remi's eyes lit up, he really is like a cat![/b] He knelt to take a closer look at the boy, eyes bright as a button. "Hello there! Whats your name?"

Aki curled into a ball, his hands on his ears and his tail wrapped around his mid section. He really hated thunderstorms. He didn’t know why you would ever need such a thing. Really, what purpose did lightning and thunder serve? It rained perfectly fine without them, so why were they ever needed when it rained sometimes? Honestly, this sucked!
Akira was having a hard time covering his cat ears completely. Placing your hand inside was extremely painful so blocking his ears that way wasn’t possible. However, holding them against his head really didn’t do anything either. He was about to mewl again when he saw someone kneel in front of his cage. Opening his eyes, he looked at the man in front of him. He was decent looking with wings on his back. He looked like an angel, which was odd seeing as they were supposed to be in heaven and not on earth. It was also ironic to Akira that an angel would openly come up to a demon’s cage.
The man’s eyes were bright, like an innocent child. He wondered what the man would be like in bed. Shaking his head, now wasn’t the time to think about lust. He didn’t need that right now. He was about to say something when a crush of thunder echoed through the trading rings and he hissed at the sound, covering his ears in his obvious discontent state. His seller walked over and nodded toward the cage. “Ignore that, he doesn’t seem to like the thunder. He does change into a cat though, tried to escape a couple of times.” The seller really shouldn’t be saying some of this to a potential buyer, but the man was far too frustrated with Akira to stop himself. He just wanted to get rid of the animal, forget trying to play up what he was.
Aki uncovered his ears, waiting cautiously for another loud booming. Upon hearing none, he sat up a bit more and looked up to the angel. “Akira.” short and to the point. His tail swung around his body, and he sniffed the air a bit, getting the man’s scent. He smelled nice.

Remi watched the others obvious discomfort with a frown, worried for the poor little mite. He deserved a nice home...a loving family to take care of this poor kitty cat.
"Nice to meet you Akira..." Remi smiled encouragingly at the smaller man, hand constantly twitching. "I'm Remiel, Remi for short. Now Akira, answer me this. Why should I adopt you?" He smiled, it wasn't a threatening question, Remi's mind was pretty much made up. However, he was interested as to what the man would say as his answer to the probing question.

Akira looked up at the man, hearing another crash of the thunder but not cringing this time. He stared at him, his ears flattened back against his head. This man was weird. Why would he adopt him? He did know that this is where they sold slaves, right? What troubled him was the question that Remi asked. He wanted to go home with this man and finally get out of his cage, but would his answer matter that much?
What if he answered wrong? Was he even able to answer wrong? There couldn’t be a right or wrong answer to this question. Anyone in his situation who was asked this question would try to sugar coat it to just be free of the cage. Never mind the whole part of being this man’s slave; anyone would say what he wanted to hear just to leave this retched place. While he continued to think, the seller nudged his cage, causing him to look back. “Answer the man.” Frowning and facing Remi again, he didn’t know a good enough answer.
His ears flattened back as there was another slight roll of the thunder and he whimpered a bit, narrowing his eyes. He hated showing weakness. “Because I’m lonely?” Averting his eyes, he wouldn’t look Remiel in the eyes. He was embarrassed. It was one of the worst things about being a lust demon sometimes. You only ever wanted lust and never love. Akira didn’t know what love was and probably never would. This always made him feel lonely, thinking of how he’ll never find someone for himself. The only reason his parents had been together was that it was an arranged marriage. They don’t do that anymore.

Remi watched as the other thought about his answer. He looked so afraid, not just to answer wrongly, but of the big crashy sounds and the electrical things coming from the big Grey clouds outside. Geez, this kinda thing never happened in the afterlife, and Remi noted it in his mind as another strange thing this earth just did. Finally Remiel get his answer, to which his face softened. The poor little kitty cat just wanted someone to take care of him....a master, if you will. "Alright little one....your coming home with me!" Remi grinned, and shoved a fistful of money into the traders hand. He took off his coat, then proceeded to unlock the cage, scooping the cat boy into his arms, wrapping the coat around him. "There we are kitty....that'll protect you from the nasty outside" He smiled, carrying his new pet out of the warehouse. He hoped Nate would also take a shine to Akira, and would help Remi to take care of him. Remi admitted to himself that he had no idea how to take care of a cat, let alone a cat-boy, and would rely heavily on the other man. His man.

Akira didn’t want to tell Remi his reason for a master. The real reason he needed a master was that he couldn’t escape any more. The other reason was that he was lonely. It was something he didn’t like to admit, he was a lust demon, not meant to belong to one person but everyone. However, the cat part of his being desired at least someone that was constant he had in his life. As the cage door opened, his trader looking cautious in case he tried running off, he watched as Remiel scooped him up and into his arms.
The coat wrapped around him and he felt the jacket might be a little suffocating. Moving so he could breathe easier, he had to wonder what kind of man this was. He just picked up a cat-hybrid without thinking of the size, weight, nothing. His tail wrapped around Remi’s waist, his head pressing against his chest. The thunder wasn’t as constant now, as if mocking him. Why did he have to listen to the thunder when there was nothing he could do to stop it and when he would be able to do something about it, it stopped? This wasn’t fair.
“If you want, I can change into a full cat if it’s easier for you,” he trailed off, wondering how far the man lived from here.

Remi smiled at the small man in his arms, finding it cute how the other wanted to make life easier for the angel. He knew that he'd made the right decision picking him at that smelly place, but something in him made him wish he could save all the people locked up in those cages. It was grubby in there, and they didn't look well fed or happy at all. He frowned to himself, and wondered how he would react in the same situation. He'd panic. He just knew it. He just wouldn't cope.
Remiel shook his head, clearing the unpleasant and claustrophobic thoughts out of his mind, and looked back to Akira. "Its alright, I've carried Nate around before and hes like 6ft 2!" Remi grinned, proud of this feat. It hadn't been easy, Nate's heavier than he looked, but Remi though he made it look easy. "Oh that reminds me! You'll like Nate, but don't kill any big big spiders with cute big asses that run round the house. He's a shape shifter!"

Akira looked at Remi, wondering whom he was talking about. Did this man already have a partner? That sucked, Akira rather liked the look of this man. However, it would matter even if he did. If Remi had a partner, even though he wouldn’t be included in any intimate acts, he’d still be able to feel their lust. At least he could find contentment in that.
He wanted to ask who this Nate person was to Remi, but it would be rude to ask especially because of his position. He didn’t think of Remi as his master though. He felt that the man was a little too far off the deep end to be a master. The way that he talked about Nate, it sounded as if he would be the real master here. It didn’t matter to him, but he couldn’t help but lick his lips. He liked chasing spiders, birds, that kind of thing. He was a cat after all.
“A spider shape shifter, I can try but I can’t make any promises.” he hoped that his answer would be good enough for Remiel. He was part cat and couldn’t help himself sometimes. Looking toward the sky, he noted how the thunder had almost stopped although the dark clouds still hung above them.
“Are you and Nate a couple?” he didn’t care if it would be considered rude to ask. It was an innocent question, nothing more.
