Can we get an official date for the Demonic Uprising, or the Demon-Human War, or whatever we're going to call it? It would be really appreciated. I don't know if we're looking at a year ago, or hundreds. Because I was under the impression that it's at least been been several decades if not longer from the extensive description of the post-war era on the site, and I've played most of my characters as if they've lived it their entire lives. So yeah, a rough "how long the world has been in chaos" would be greatly appreciated indeed.

Well, even though I'm not signed in as Anaria, I'd still like to answer this now.
Um, as far as I've seen it, it would only be maybe a decade at most. The species were popping up all over the place, the humans panicked, hoping that they could keep their power. Low and behold, the species get smarter, band together and take down the human control within a year. Afterwards, there is supposed to be peace but demons can get greedy as well as vampires who hunt in other territories. So everyone began a battle for land and property, who owns what. It's settled down a bit but it was still only ten years ago at most. Does that help?

Oh shoot, really? That was not what I had set up with SOB. I, like QC, was also under the impression that the wars lasted for a very long time. Generations of people were taken as slaves which eventually caused it to evolve into a normal practice.
This causes problems with Diana as well since she "grew up" around the idea of slavery

Iunno, then, but I don't see it as that long. Maybe more than one decade, but no more than2 or 3 decades. nothing any earlier than world war 2 at least

Well Ren, since you were the original creator of the plot and believed it to be longer than I'd imagined, would you be fine to state that it began sometime after world war 2?

Can I throw in my two cents worth?
The way I read it, the world had been at war for a couple of generations, long enough for the US Army to have to expand to insanely huge numbers, like the kind seen in the Second World War.
I wrote Alasdair as though he was a veteran of combat, enough to be drawn from his original unit and selected to help found a new Special Forces unit.
A start date for our conflict after World War Two would make sense, as the human species was significantly weakened. WWII resulted in somewhere between 50 million to 70 million fatalities world wide. Fatalities. 50 to 70 million. If there was a time for any other sentient species to rise up, it would have been then.
