Overall Appearance: Jade is seen as an athletic looking young woman in her early twenties. She has long dark brown hair that is often pulled back in a ponytail or a messy bun to keep out of her face. She has good bone structure, though it's apparent she has had her nose broken at least once or twice. Her blue eyes are often set with a cold hard look to them and her pink lips are often frowning or scowling, rarely do they smile. She would hardly call herself beautiful or even remotely pretty, though she does have a pleasing figure due to her training and activities that keep her fit and looking good.
Given her status as a slave, Jade has suffered all sorts of bruises, breaks, and scars that served as reminders for her various failures or victories. Her most noticeable scar would be the one on her left arm, a thin slice from her elbow to the palm of her hand, normally long sleeves cover up that mark. Two other marks that are noticeable are the burn marks on both her hands, on the palms. They were a constant reminder of what she had lost and her biggest failure in her life. Tribal tattoos can be seen around her right wrist and lower back along with a newer tattoo on the back of her shoulder, a bullet hole with “Insert Bullet Here” just beneath it.
Since Jade is a slave it's easy to say that she doesn't have much of a wardrobe other than what she is given. She has no jewelry or anything like that.

Overall Personality: Jade is not an easy young woman to get to know, she is cold and bitter and chooses to keep everyone around her at a distance. Stubborn right down to the letter, Jade will stand her ground in any fight she finds herself in, whether she started it or not, it's not in her to back down from any sort of fight whether the odds are against her or not. Seemingly emotionless, Jade has learned to suppress her emotions to the point of being almost completely numb, since emotions were messy things and have no real value.
- Hums when she's nervous
- Cannot stand the smell of jasmine
- Bites her nails
There is little that Jade takes joy in since she became a slave to the vampires but she does enjoy pain to a certain degree. Due to the training Jade had been put through over the years before she became a slave, she has a high pain threshold and a knowledge of where the best spots are to strike on a body, since she's been used as a punching bag often enough by her father and now by her master. While Jade doesn't trust anyone, she has a high respect for those who are strong in a physical and emotional way, cowards disgust her thoroughly.
Cool and confident in a fight, Jade often takes the offensive aggressively. Due to her skills in a fight, Jade feels at times that she is invincible and this is one of her various flaws in personality. Arrogant, she often views a fight with her as the winner before it's even fought, underestimating her targets. She is reckless and headstrong, always believed she can handle a job even if the odds are piled against her. It's actually amazing she is still alive considering all she has gotten into in the past.
Jade has a wicked sense of humor and is often tries to hide behind sarcasm when she doesn't know how else to act. She doesn't really know much about friendship, she feels it's a weakness because it allows others to have a certain amount of power over you and Jade doesn't like anyone being in control of her. She has no memories of her life as an angel but there have been times when she feels as though she doesn't belong where she is.
While Jade is intelligent in terms of fighting and such, she can hardly be seen as a strategist of any kind. She moves on pure instinct and doesn't often think things through. She is a brute to say the least, incapable or perhaps uninterested in exploring deeper thoughts and the finer things in life. She holds allegiance to no one and would easily stab another in the back if she felt it would benefit herself. Being a perfectionist, Jade is terribly hard on herself if she fails a task or some sort of training. Failure is never an option and she will push herself to the points of near death if it means she can master something. Her greatest hope is that she will escape slavery and be free.

Detailed History:
Jade was born to Daniel and Emma on November 4th, her birth was not really planned but it was well received by her parents who had thought they couldn't have any children. Her childhood, for the most part, was pretty uneventful. She was spoiled by her doting parents as an only child until her little brother Topher was born. At first Jade was not too fond of her little brother, offering to sell him at more than a few garage sales and stealing his toys. She didn't have an automatic connection with her brother until he got sick at the age of five. It almost killed him and after that he was a bit sickly, causing Jade to feel responsible for protecting him. She was the older sister after all. So she did. She beat up any boys who teased her little brother and did what she could to build his confidence as well. He was everything to her.
Being the kids of a retired Naval officer, they were used to their father being strict in a lot of ways. Jade begged her father to teach her how to fight, feeling that she should be the one to protect the family when he got too old to do so. Not that he much appreciated the sentiment behind that comment but he did appreciate his daughter's want to protect their family. She was a lot like he was. None of her family knew about the existence of vampires beyond the movies and legends that surrounded the fanged creatures. Never would Jade have believed past the age of seven that vampires were real.
Ignorance had been bliss up until the moment that the different creatures began to take over everything, beginning their enslavement of all humanity and eventually of each other. It was horrible, seeing people killed if they resisted. Jade's mother was the first of their family to be taken, she had been taken while driving to the hospital where she had worked. Her father, who had been with her at the time had been able to escape and get back to his children, Jade had been sixteen at the time. Her training with her father intensified, his need for her to be able to defend herself grew with the knowledge that the world was going to hell in a hand basket. She was a willing student as well, aggressive and intent on her opponents, she figured she'd make a pretty good vampire killer since that's all she ever wanted to do since her mother had been taken. Topher trained as well but he was not near as efficient as Jade was.
Jade's dreams of trying to free humanity from their grasp was brought crashing down around her feet when vampires came to visit the home where she and her family was at the time. She had been twenty-four at the time. They had been well hidden and yet still they had been found. The fight was vicious and in the confusion, Jade accidentally killed her father who she loved greatly. Seeing the look on his face before he fell almost caused Jade to fall as well, she hadn't meant to do it. Topher hadn't seen of course, he had been made to hide since Jade knew he couldn't fight. He'd only be killed or captured and that was something that she couldn't handle. Not her baby brother. Not her Topher. It was because of Topher, in a way, that Jade was taken as a slave. She gave herself up so that they didn't search for him, traded her life for his in hopes that he would be safe.
Slavery was something that no matter how you tried, you couldn't prepare yourself for. Not that she could compare it to anything else and she had only just been place into slavery. Who knew who would buy her and how that would go. She could pray, not that it would do her all that much good really.
RP Example:
It all began with a loud crash, the sound of intruders in their well-hidden home. They had finally come...
Jade jumped out of her bed quickly, having trained herself to move quickly when it counted and this definitely counted. Her father had counted on the vampires finding them, they could only stay hidden for so long. Still, Jade couldn't help but feel a tight knot in the pit of her stomach as she reached for the weapon she kept by her bed, a double-edged axe that her father had given to her a year ago for her birthday. Some birthday gift. Not the usual thing a teenager asked for but considering the age they were living in, it was no surprise and really, it was better than a car or anything else a teenager might have asked for. Her hair was in disarray considering she had only just woken up and considering how dark it was outside, it was still very late. But why now? Probably figured that they knew where the rebels were or something like that. Her father had been in contact with them but he hadn't joined up with them, he had planned on taking Topher and Jade to where they were hiding the following day but it seemed that was a vain hope now.
Just breathe. Don't panic. Just keep calm and remember what training you have. She thought to herself as she hid next to the door, listening carefully to try and estimate just how many there were. Her heart was racing so quickly and loudly that she was almost certain that they would be able to locate her by the sound alone. Any and all fear for herself and her own well being was cast aside the moment she heard movement from the room just next to her own. Her fourteen year old brother Topher was awake and moving or at least she had to pray that it was him she heard moving around. She couldn't let him get hurt. He had a stake with him but he was no fighter. He was many things but definitely not a fighter. Jade could hear them downstairs and quickly made her way to the small crawlspace that connected her room to her brother's. A design of her father's who had helped build the house a few years ago. He had gotten things ready just in case the vampire scum chose to pay a visit just as they had tonight.
"Topher.." Jade whispered harshly, trying to get the attention of the pale and frightened looking teen who clutched the stake in his hand as though it were his only lifeline. She had to whisper a little louder to get his attention, causing him to jump at first until he realized who it was. Running over to the crawlspace, he pried the grate away from the wall with Jade's help and crawled inside with her. "What about dad?" He whispered, his entire body still shaking. Jade wanted to comfort him but really, she didn't have the time. "I don't know Toph, I need to go see but you need to stay here." Jade didn't even have to look at her brother to know he didn't like that idea but Jade would lock him in there if she had to and he damn well knew it. "I won't let anything happen to you Topher, you know that." She whispered, her heart stopping a moment as she heard her father yelling downstairs. Seems the fight had begun. "Stay." Jade commanded sternly before crawling out and retrieving her ax, heading downstairs as she did.
This would not end well, didn't take a psychic to know that. The odds weren't in the favor of the small family against a bunch of vampires but Jade wouldn't go down without a fight and neither would her father. Going into a fight where she had no idea how many there were and how many more were on the way was daunting to say the least, there was a definite chance that she would die that night. She didn't want to die. She wanted to live to see her nineteenth birthday but who knew...
"Jade, wha--" Her dad yelled as Jade entered the fight, cutting off a vampire's head just as it came at her. Messy business but thankfully it seemed like these vampires were nothing more than grunts. Probably newly turned canon fodder that were testing the family's resolve. "Can't talk, busy." Jade yelled in return, causing her father to sigh and shake his head before dodging a fist aimed at his face. "Any masters?" Jade asked quickly, looking around at the vampires that seemed to be everywhere. This was going to get bloody fast. "None so far."
Moment seemed to drag on for years and Jade was fighting for her life and her brother's. Her father could take care of himself. Or so she thought... It was dark in the living room where the fight was going on and she had just killed another vampire when she felt something touch her shoulder. In an instant she turned and buried the axe into the stomach of what she thought was a vampire but it wasn't. Jade's eyes widened as her father coughed up blood, his eyes wide in disbelief before he fell to the ground dead. She had killed him..
Not that she could mourn him just yet, there was more vampires still...
