Abstynencja sighed in the quiet library. It was the perfect place to be. He had brought his own book which had distressed the librarian, but it was smoothed over. Abby quite enjoyed the library. Nothing bad ever happened here, which you couldn’t say about his apartment. Honestly, the entire world seemed to revolve around sex these days. He shivered at the thought of it. He had sat down after a simple meal—kids in his class were practising saying ‘no’ to sex, one of his favourite lessons—and as soon as he had opened the book, he felt it. Someone just a floor above him wasn’t just having intercourse, but with so many people! Abby had to leave within that instant or else he would have had a migraine and blacked out. Those were some of the worst times. Usually it wasn’t that bad for the demon, however, that much sex right above his apartment was too strong for the demon. And here he was, in the one place, other than the church, that he would never find sex. Of course, there were books about the subject, but never the act. He dare not even go near that section of the library.
Looking around the room, he noted how empty the area was. It was getting late and no one ever really came to the library anyways. Most people would rather be doing other things at this hour instead. Looking back at the pages of the book, he listened to the words flowing from the pages and into his head. It was moments like this that he wished everything were as simple as a book. As long as he avoided certain books, there was never a problem. And you couldn’t change a book once it was published. That was the thing he liked about literature, it was always one way or the other, unlike emotions, love and more. ‘Just because you loved someone, didn’t mean you had to have intercourse right above my apartment.’ Abby shook his head, thinking to himself.
He heard someone moving toward his area of the library but ignored them. His blue eyes glanced up quickly, intending to go back to the book, possibly glare to the intruder, but he stopped, forgetting to look back down. Shaking his head and clearing his throat, he looked back to the book. What a strange man to interrupt his silence.

Belial hadn't been in a library for a while, and he had heard rumors that there was another creature much like himself shifting about in here so he came to stare. Unfortunatly for him, the boy who was said to be one of his kin wasn't around, and he started to occupy himself with looking at the books on the shelves. He wondered if there would be any on his kind, or even more interesting, anything to do with fear. His thin pale finger traced along one of the more dusty shelves, looking for something that might interest him when he stopped, his wings flickering noticing that there was someone else here.
A pair of red eyes fell around to look at the man sat at the table across from him. A rather handsome man, but with less than attractive emotions, disgust wasn't a great one to feed off. There was a small moment where Belial stared, wondering just how hungry he was, and if he'd be able to cope with just casual emotions, instead of fear, but he shrugged, making a note that this man defiantly didn't like sex, and that, in itself, was reason enough to try and get a meal, he had never met anyone with such a strange fear.
With wings shifting back behind him he grabbed a book, which just so happened to be on hell and it's seven rings when he started to make his way over to the table rather slowly, making sure not to give any eye contact to the other male. He tried to hold back a smirk, wondering just what kind of a man would fear such strange things. He reached the empty chair by the table. "'Cuse me? May I sit here?"

Concentrating on his book was very hard now. It wasn’t that this man’s appearances changed things; it was more curiosity of him that changed his focus. This man was something he hadn’t seen before. Being a curious being as well as a well read one, he wondered what kind of creature the man to be. He had to at least be a demon, he’d seen fallen angels before, this man was nothing of the sort. Glancing at his eyes, Abby noted the red colour which he thought to have been a side effect of drugs. He had seen many teens in his health classes coming in drugged up with bloodshot eyes. Sometimes he wondered why they didn’t try harder to keep from being caught. However, this man’s eyes weren’t from drugs. And there was the matter of the discoloured wings on his back.
Looking to the chair, he nodded his head. “You may, go ahead,” After all this time, he still had a slight accent left in his voice. There used to be a time when he didn’t know English and the world was far simpler. Looking back to his book, he couldn’t help the desire to know what this man was. He may not find attraction towards looks, but he had a curiosity like no other. He was a writer and a teacher. Being able to find something he’d never met before intrigued him. Why would this man have such wings? What kind of demon was this man?
It was at that moment that he realised he would have to feed soon. Those people above his apartment had left him a little drained. However, he had no idea where he would be able to get the food from tonight. Negative energy was hard to come by, especially negative energy from a lack of intercourse. Looking up at the man, he wondered if it would be right to ask such a question. They were in a library and he was here for silence, this man ought to be as well. “Excuse me, do you happen to know where a nunnery might be?” his voice was clipped with the Polish accent, his eyes trying not to stray to his wings. Nunneries were the best place to feed from.

With all the elegance of a stumbling drunken mouse Belial placed himself on the chair that he had indicated to earlier and smiled, leaning back onto his wings slightly so not to crush them. He had tried to keep his eyes on the book he had taken off the shelf but as he felt the curiosity wash over Abstynencja and he couldn't help but feel it too, shifting slightly in his seat whilst looking at the man. He gave a quick 'thanks' to him for letting him sit and then he stayed silent, eyes still trying to stare down at the book with little to no success. With soft pale fingers he started to trace over the pages of such an old book, trying to read the words with his fingers rather than his eyes that were so easily drawn to the demon.
Hearing the question Belial couldn't help but grin, a man who feared sex and wanted to meet nuns, it made, some sense, but not a hell of a lot. "Nunnery?" He chuckled, trying to imagine the man walking around one of those places, "I don't think there is one here, only seen a church since I arrived, though that was only a week or two ago~" He placed the book down, leaning a little closer towards the table to he didn't have to speak as loudly, letting his wings stretch a little as he no longer leaned on them.

Abby had been drawn to many things, never staying attached too long. He found that if he were to keep connections too long, eventually something would happen. He’d had women try to come onto him before which had only ended badly for their friendship. He wished that he could have kept those friendships, but for some reason, he was appealing to some people. It irked him how they could so easily be attracted to him while what they wanted to do could easily kill him.
Abstynencja watched as the man chuckled, furrowing his eyebrows at the act. What was so funny? They did have nunneries here, right? It wasn’t some farfetched idea, was it? He hadn’t been in America for long, but he would have thought them to have a nunnery or at least know what one was. That thought was soon dashed from his mind as the man said that he only knew of a church. Frowning, he lost himself in thought for a moment. That changed things then. He wouldn’t be able to feed so easily and he had to be careful when returning to his apartment. If intercourse were to happen, he may black out without realising. That would not be good at all.
“Pity, it would have helped very much,” giving a rare smile to the man, he looked down to his book. How could he ask what he was without being rude? There had to be a way. However, in this world, his polite and distant attitude wouldn’t get him the information he needed. People were always so forward and clear about their intentions and desires.

Belial shivered at the idea of how curious his new friend was, he could feel it eating away at him and a smirk played across his face like a school boy, this was really going to be too easy. Belial wondered how interesting it would be to draw him in, make him feel comfortable then switch like there was no tomorrow. "Help? May I do anything to help?" He asked in a hushed voice sounding as if he wasn't really that interested, when he truly was, making sure to stare down at his book, still looking as if he was concentrating on that rather than a fiendish plan within his head. So many way to scare him, how would it start? How would be the best way to make sure he couldn't fight it, these were all questions Belial needed an answer to.
Belial still didn't look at the other man, trying to seem as if he was truly there for reading and nothing else. He wondered about the man's accent for a while, he had to be from somewhere different from here, he could tell that from asking about what was round here alone, but that accent, it was familiar somehow, he'd make sure to inquire about it later, but right now, he had to act as if he was casual.

Abstynencja continued to watch the man. He hadn’t yet laid his eyes completely on him yet. The red hue had intrigued him but he had no idea whether they were completely red or not. He didn’t want to lean closer, which would look nosey and rude. However, there had to be a way. He may be an abstinence demon, but that didn’t mean he couldn’t feel other things. His curiosity was piqued and this man wouldn’t budge. As he offered his help, he couldn’t help but sigh. There was no way that the man could help, not as easily. He would need to find someone abstaining from intercourse or had intense sexual frustration at this moment. Unless he could make himself that way, there would be no way of helping him.
“No. Sadly, I feed off negative energy, thank you for offering.” He didn’t worry about mentioning his diet. He knew that this man was a demon as well; there was no need for such secrecy as to the fact that they were demons. There was no one else in close enough vicinity for them to even be able to hear what they were talking about. “May I ask your name?” That shouldn’t be awkward. He still had many things to learn to live in this society. America was so much different from what he was used to. He still didn’t realise how much he missed London’s subway system. Now that the trains didn’t warn him to ‘mind the gap’, he found himself tripping while getting off American subways.
Abby was slowly becoming frustrated with the man. If only he would look clearly at him, then a small portion of his curiosity would be cured. He wanted to know if his eyes were completely red or something else. He wanted to know why his wings were tinged instead of white. Even fallen angels had white wings; they were just usually broken after their fall from heaven. If this man was a fallen angel, then he must have fallen farther from just heaven.

The chase, yes, that was the best part about what Belial was about to do, and he loved just how much Abstynencja had fallen into his trap, curiously over powering him slightly. He thought it would be very rude however, not to answer this question with a look, as it was normal to look at people when you spoke to them directly. With a slow movement he placed a thin finger in his book and closed it on top of it, as if holding his page and he let his eyes looked up at the man. He made sure to look directly into his eyes, letting the man see what he wanted but also letting him search for more fears, just in case he wanted to use more than this hatred of sex. He seemed to take a few seconds before he allowed his lips to move, "My name is Belial Bane sir, and yourself?"
He thought it was only fair that telling his name would be rewarded with the other man's, so he knew what name to call out for when he eventually started his assault. He didn't want to look as if he was being too forwards, so he casually leaned back again, making his wings twitch in displeasure at no longer being free to move as if they were a different entity to Belial. He wondered just what it was that fasinated this man so much, because it certainly wasn't the feelings he wanted to feed off, there was nothing negative about the way Belial felt that this way was going.

Belial Bane. A decent name, it reminded him of the comic book character, Bane. Very tormented and very dangerous. Abby wondered if Belial were similar to the comic book character. Although, he didn’t wear a mask, the eyes were good enough. The pure red eyes were looking directly at his. He was surprised as he thought that knowing the truth about his eyes would solve things, now it made things worse. Those eyes were so fierce and cold. It wasn’t like blood at all, it was something different, something he couldn’t explain.
“Abstynencja Adamczyk. Abby for short.” He couldn’t look away now. His eyes were staring at him and he didn’t know why, but it felt like his eyes were looking straight through him. What Belial was searching for, he didn’t know, but it intrigued him and scared him a bit. In all his 391 years he had never met a stare this fierce.
Even though he was an abstinence demon, he sometimes wondered why people engaged in those forbidden activities. If he did, he would lose his power and fast. If it were to happen for too long, he could die. He often wondered what it was that made the act so desirable to people. He questioned what it was that signalled someone that they would want to have those intimate acts. He may fear it, but it still intrigued him. As Belial’s indifferent eyes bore through him, he couldn’t help but wonder how he would look at someone stating they wanted to have those acts. Swallowing nervously, he started to feel panicked, wondering why he would want to feel such a thing. Why would he want to do such a thing when he knew it would surely kill him? His breathing picked up for a moment, thinking of dying in the pursuit many called desirable. How would it feel to have someone kill you in an act people deem desirable. He shivered, closing his eyes and looking away.
“Sorry,” he didn’t know why he was apologizing to the man.

There was a nod of his head and Belial heard the name, and he was glad the man added a far shorter nickname, he wasn't sure he could have remembered such a name, even though it made him chuckle at the thought of what he feared. It was strange, he continued to stare at the other man, watching as he started to feel panicked and it made Belial smile, he wondered just what could make such a calm looking man suddenly feel such an emotion when there really was nothing he could imagine, personally. Sex was something Belial himself had never really bothered with, too worried he'd become addicted to something else and he would end up a shivering wreck, forgetting to feed off the one thing he truly needed.
Ever still watching the man, Belial smiled, a kind, and yet, slightly flirting smile that hinted at wanting to know more."I am sorry to bother you..." He muttered, not wanting to talk too loudly in case there was someone who entered and gave them some unwanted attention. "But, you have a slight accent, it's so familiar... Polish perhaps?" It was truly lucky Belial had traveled a long time before coming to this city, it gave him a lot to talk about and a lot of advantages when it came to making people feel comfortable around him, which he did so well after years of experience. He couldn't wait to start the real assault though, he couldn't wait to hear the noise of surprise that might escape his lips when he started it. Belial didn't like the idea of rape, but he had a plan that might work just as well.

The thought of dying scared him. In all his years on this earth, there were things to fear and things to expect. He expected to be separated from other people, especially when demons, vampires and more were in hiding all those years ago. She expected to live a very long time. But he feared dying, dying in one of the worst ways imaginable. People would laugh to imagine that he could die from having sex. The mere act could quite literally kill him and it was a horrible thought. He fed off sexually frustrated teenagers and humans and people who deny sex. The thought of wanting it scared him as well. He feared the idea that being close with a person would kill him. He never wanted to feed off such vile and deadly acts. He shivered again, losing all of his energy, being on the brink of death, and then dying, because of such simple intimacy.
Abby looked at him, not knowing what this smirk was. He had seen it before, in movies, on the streets. He believed it was called flirting. He had never needed such a thing so it was a little hard to distinguish. He dare not try anything. He may be a demon, but other than a demon’s usual enhanced abilities, he would be helpless against the man, which made him fear that possibility even more.
Smiling slightly, not realising, he nodded his head. “Yes, it is, have you ever been?” He looked up a little cautiously. His book was now closed and placed on the table. His hands were in his lap and his stature was closed. He was ready to run if need be. He could barely stop himself from trembling. Why had this man so easily have scared him? It was probably his piercing gaze. That deep red gaze that was as deep as a river. One that seemed eerie to him and urged his darkest thoughts, including, what it would be like to have intercourse with this man, to allow Belial to kill him without inflicting pain but what was supposed to be pleasure. He wondered if he would even know that he would be draining his life force to do it. The thought that Belial wouldn’t care horrified him even more. Those red eyes showed no mercy.

Belial couldn't believe his luck. The fear coming off this man was almost unbearable and he hadn't even done anything yet; he couldn't believe that when he first arrived in this place it was to find another like himself, but he found something so much better now. But this kind of fear this early on was not a good thing, the man had so many opportunities to run before Belial could get close to him and this worried him slightly, wondering how on earth he could get around this. It was then that he started to notice just how much Abby would focus on this eyes, and this could save him. He leaned a little closer again, letting his wings free themselves and spread out as much as he could manage, making sure to fix his gaze on the other mans, trying almost to hypnotize him into staying still, he really hoped this would work.
Lifting himself out of his chair Belial continued to stare, hoping the other man would be too scared and too transfixed to move yet, or to even realise what he might be trying to do. "I've seen the whole world~" He spoke in such a way that his voice sounded deep, and strangely soothing, as if he wanted to make it seem like nothing was wrong and he smiled, a weak smile that he also hoped would have the same effect. This is when Belial's plan truly started to come into action. His wings began to shiver, still spread out wide as he started to make the room appear different, as if the shelves surrounded them completely, to make it look like there was no escape from such a strange predator. He took a few steps closer hoped the man would raise from his seat, making whatever attack Belial wanted easier to pin him against something without injuring either of them too much.

He knew something was wrong, and yet he didn’t move. He dare not think of what kind of demon Belial was. All he knew was that if he made any sudden moves, he would be in the more vulnerable position. When running away from something, if you can’t look over your shoulder, you can’t tell where your pursuer is and if you do look, you run the risk of being stuck in a bad situation. His eyes only got deeper the closer he leaned in. It was hypnotizing and intoxicating. He wanted to run, the instinct heavy in his mind but it didn’t reach his brain. He was petrified that he couldn’t move that he didn’t want to move. Why is it that this made him shake involuntarily? Why would he want to have this fear? And was it logical that it scared him more.
Gulping, he glanced out of the corner of his eye, seeing his wings expanding. As they did, the world seemed to have shrunk. It was closing in on itself and becoming a black empty void. Standing up slowly and backing away from Belial, he knew he wouldn’t run. He had no idea how fast those wings may be able to carry him. He hit something behind him and saw that it was a bookshelf, one of the last things before everything was gone. “What . . . are you?” his voice was thick and heavy with accent, a tremble in his throat as well as confusion. He had been afraid for so long, denying and running for so long. He had never wanted to risk this feeling and now there was nothing for him to do. He was going to die, and he wasn’t ready yet. Slumping down against the black void’s walls, he watched, still entranced by his gaze. Swallowing the large lump in his throat, he stopped breathing in those last moments before Belial approached.

His plan couldn't have been more perfect, it seemed years of frightening people had caused Belial to know what people's movements would be faced with a fear and he shivered with excitement. It was a strange feeling, a mixture of guilt and pleasure played in his mind, watching the man look so desperate, so scared, but Belial knew he would leave the man alive and well, so what was wrong with feeding off him? The man had stood up, which made Belial's eyes seem to flicker with a sick sense of happiness and what he lacked in strength, he most certainly made up for with speed. He was in front of the other man within a blink of an eye and with one pale hand he forced Abby against the strangely dark bookshelves, making sure one last time that there was no one around, what he was about to do was crueler than he had been in a very long time.
With his wings still spread out he pinned the man to the bookshelves, still gripping him with his deadly eyes, making sure that the other man didn't- no couldn't look away before snaking a hand slowly up to his neck, holding it there whilst caressing the skin. He didn't want to harm the man, and imagined how best to go about this, finally deciding it would be best to start with a real kiss, so the other man could feel that it was real, couldn't feel his breath and his heartbeat, touch, as he had often said, was the most important part of creating a nightmare.
